Jersey Boys star Jarrod Spector will bring his cabaret evening, “Minor Fall, Major Lift,” back to Feinstein’s at Loews Regency on May 16. Spector, who plays Frankie Valli in the long-running Broadway musical, offers an evening of songs ranging from the 1950s (Paul Anka, Neil Sedaka), 1960s (The Beatles, Smokey Robinson), 1970s (Led Zeppelin, Chicago) and the present day (Macy Gray, Maroon 5). The show is directed by Eric Michael Gillett, with musical direction by Adam Ben-David, leading a quintet of musicians and two backup singers.
After more than 1,000 performances in Jersey Boys, Spector is sharing his real-life story with fans, from a childhood stint on Star Search and Broadway debut as Gavroche in Les Miserables to dropping out of Princeton returning to Broadway as Frankie Valli.
Spector was a recent guest on Broadway.com’s Show People, hosted by editor-in-chief Paul Wontorek.
